Gender roles and sexuality do go hand and hand in society.

Learn about normativity. Try again.

SEX and gender roles go together. Not SEXUALITY and gender roles.

That's why in even same sex couples, it is not uncommon for one partner to assume traditional male gender roles, while another assumes traditional female roles. It's also why in households where WOMEN work outside of the home and MEN stay in with the kids, the wife doesn't start fancying breasts, and the husband doesn't start daydreaming about sex with the mailman.

Whether or not society (or parents) dictate that Suzie goes to work and Mark stays at home with the kids does not determine whether Suzie will wanna shack up with Mary, and Mark will want to have sex with Steven.

Gender and gender roles are societal based. Sex and sexuality are biological.

Pay better attention in both your sociology AND your psychology class next time.

^^^^^^^ until you can refute this.... you are just trying to fly in the face of somebody else's preference
Define "proven". It's been shown both scientifically and anecdotally to be heavily biologically based, even if not exclusively. Unless you think gay brains are wired like the opposite sex through non-biological means. Not quite sure how a gay boy chooses to have one hemisphere of his brain be a different size than the other and his straight peers.

Gravity can't be "proven" either. Doesn't mean it's wrong.

You never responded to my comments regarding your attractions. Do you actively choose which women you wish to be attracted to, or is it involuntary?

And why wouldn't the opinions of actual gay people be sufficient to prove to you it's not a choice?

Huh??? Your point would only make sense if it was a scientific fact... it is not....

Gravity is a scientific LAW

please learn the difference between scientific hypothesis, theory and law before you make such an asinine parallel.

Wrong. AGAIN.

Sexuality is biological. Otherwise, animals would never have sex with the opposite sex, and there would be no incidence of homosexual behavior in animals.

Heterosexual men do not go after women because "society tells them to." It's innate. Be it genetic, or be it hormonal determined in the womb... it is not a choice or something that can be assigned out to someone who lacks the requisite proclivity.

Imagine someone told you you had to be attracted to the same sex. Couldn't happen, right? Kids from the strictest religious households end up gay. Why? Because they were conditioned by their parents?

Use some logic.

^ question is why are you attracted to a "vagina" or even a "female"? Is that a conscious decision on your part or does it come natural to you? Choosing the type of car you want, the color of your carpet, what type of loans and interest charged, what type of fast food you want are all conscious decisions. Being gay is not.

No doubt that plenty of homosexuals were molested by same thing when they were a child, and this caused them to become what they hated, were shocked and traumatized by and yet in the physical realm it felt good, and we humans have a natural sexual drive.

Yes, two homosexuals that I've known very well related the childhood sexual abuse as the only thing they could even suspect as the cause, with one saying it was "the" reason.

We are always given just two choices of causes of someone being gay, that either they were born that way or they chose to be. Nope...the very real and common one is usually not offered. Molestation of a young child.

Humans are biologically different than animals...

Why doesn't all animal research translate to human studies?

Again, the animal argument fails in every department. And it's a hypocritical because a lot of humans (especially gays) hold a double standard and fail to be consistent when making the correlation.

You have no way of substantiating your claim.

lol because Religion is perfect???

so because gay kids are coming out of religious households... that is all the evidence needed to confirm homosexuality is indeed hard coded into our DNA. Got it.

Science doesn't agree with you... It doesn't necessarily DISGAREE with you but it doesn't agree. Your position is based out of faith or just an opinion.
