She has a point, but the fact that she needed to make a social media post about it and pat herself on the back, says it all. Such is life these days, every little situation in life is an opportunity to grandstand and make a social media post about it.

Schools need to stop with this nonsense and keep it apolitical, so that it prevents nonsense like this.

Narcissism at its finest.

A student in Ohio claims she received a day of in-school suspension after she hung Bible verses on walls and lockers in response to LGBTQ pride flags decorating the halls. The teen also alleges that her principal said she was “targeting the [Gay-Straight Alliance] organization.”

In a video shared on her mother’s Facebook page, Gabby Helsinger details the incident that occurred at Lebanon High School. Her mother, Tina Helsinger, captioned the video, “Lebanon schools celebrates [sic] evil and punishes righteousness!!”

Opinion:

The straight kid has equal rights as anyone else.
What is sad is that the media focus ( including my post ) give it air time.
For crying out loud..........................Let kids be kids.............................
Human brain development is not complete until age 26.

and this is one perfect example why the voting age should be raised to 26.

This student thought just because she is a Christian she has "special rights" also.

Principal Scott Butler, who is unable to comment on student discipline matters, did tell Yahoo Lifestyle in an email, “In general, when a student violates the Student Code of Conduct, there are consequences for those actions.”

When she arrived at the principal’s office, according to Gabby, he asked her why she hung the Bible verses. “And I said, ‘Because I wanted to spread the word of God.’ And [the principal] goes, ‘Well did you have permission?’ And I said, ‘No.’ I didn’t know you had to have permission.

These bible thumpers think that they can impose their beliefs everywhere they go and then scream persecution. How come we never hear of Muslim, Hindu or Jewish students doing this?

She has no point.

I doubt the school would have cared if she was posting "God is love", but im betting that aint what she posted.

Hated and tolerance are opposites, but not equals. One teaches you to attack another, the other says to treat everyone equally.

We thoroughly thrashed this incident out several months ago, IIRC.

She violated a school policy of requiring approval for posting flyers. The Gay Students Alliance whose flyers she was trying to oppose complied with the policy.

No religious discrimination to be seen. Although it might be a case of religious entitlement - I don't have to abide by the regulations that everyone else has to abide by, because I'm special.
