Obama may not have a difficult time at all getting re-elected. There is economic growth in auto sales, construction and manufacturing. Looks like we are moving in the right direction and we DO NOT need a change in the White House.

"Manufacturing has grown for 28 straight months, according to the index. Factories were among the first businesses to start growing after the recession officially ended in June 2009"

"U.S. builders spent more in October on new homes, offices and shopping centers, pushing construction spending up for a third straight month."

Weekly Jobless Claims Jump Back Over 400,000 Mark

Quote:
Published: Thursday, 1 Dec 2011 | 8:39 AM ET

Claims for unemployment insurance unexpectedly rose last week, climbing past the psychologically important 400,000 mark as the jobs market showed signs of more weakness.
There is that word "unexpectedly" again.

And this during the Christmas hiring season? Oh yeah, it is all getting better.

Your boy in the white house is a Kenyan communist and we're all surprised by the amount of his fail?

The economy is growing. Its gonna take a while before the average person feels it thanks to George Bush who almost wrecked this country beyond repair. You would have to be a magician to go from the brink of a depression to a booming economy in less than four years so people shouldn't expect Obama or anyone to perform a miracle in four years. The important thing is that the economy is moving in the right direction. We don't need GOP policies taking us back. We all know what GOP policies did to this country during the eight years Bush was in office.

Judging by the increase in commuter bus passengers and traffic density I have to conclude the economy is improving in my part of the country.

There's always going to be growth in some sectors, that's not the issue.

The question is can the growth make up for the losses in those sectors and other sectors?

It's misleading when you count the growth but ignore the losses in other areas.

its going to take time. The fact is we are moving forward not backwards. Yes its a slow growth but Bush dug us in a deep hole. If Bush were still president, we would be in a great depression today.

It is a surprise that the economy is stable/growing at all, considering that patriots' are thinking and working for the opposite.

Well I know people are impatient, but slow and steady growth is much healthier for our economy than rapid growth.

And yet liberals did all they could do to fan the flames of discontent six months after Reagan became President in 1981.
