When a gay person responds to the thread the response is intelligent and thoughtful...

-but-

When someone disagrees with the thread they are called white, bigoted, conservative, ignorant, Republicans and/or a troll?

IMO this attitude truly shows who the bigots are.

What say ya'll?

Why do you assume that everyone responding who agrees with them is gay?

People are just giving their opinions. You have to accept that some of your opinions may be unpopular. Gay-bashing is not going to earn you compliments from most people.

I guess for the same reason people who start almost all gay threads thinks anyone who disagrees with the post is white, bigoted, conservative, Republican and/or a troll...

I don't think that's the case.

How do you expect someone to feel when they are called "freaks of nature" and the like over something about themselves that harms no one and that they can't control? And why do you expect that others would not defend them?

And, for the record, I'm white, conservative, and straight.

Well, non-conservative, non-bigots generally don't go out their way to constantly ridicule gays and whine about posts they make.

If the shoe fits and all...

I can't speak for anyone else, but I judge whether or not someone is a bigot based on *why* a person disagrees. That's just me, though.

But when gays start threads pushing peoples noses into a gay law/ruling that's OK and not in any form bashing or distasteful...

Gotcha

Then why do gays almost constantly start threads that are clearly meant to push the gay agenda?

Yup, if the shoe fits wear it
