What do you mean by "Free". Do you mean as a gift or do you mean as a rent on something you own? It looks like you believe welfare lunches to be free but interest and dividend payments as something the recipients worked for. I believe both are welfare but distributed to different people. The free food goes to the poor and the free money goes to the wealthy. So we stop the former and reward the later. How Nice of us.
BTW, your thread about Military meals being free....and you maybe have been military...Stupid thread of the year award....
I am not operating under the illusion that anything is completely free. Someone is paying for it, but it may be free to the recipient. Thanks for the nomination. I think it is going to be a tough competition this year.
The military aren't getting meals for "free." Meals are one of their benefits that they are earning.
We shouldn't let children starve. That said, if government is to be involved in providing children meals, it should be state and local government, not the federal government.
I personally don't mind my tax dollars going to help those less fortunate that actually need it. I just wish there was more done to address the abuse of social programs.
So, in the last few days, we have had IMO, 2 of the most stupid threads I have ever seen here on CD.
1st, why should children get free lunches and 2nd, why do military people get free meals? Just look at ALL the money that would be saved....
Why should anyone get any thing free in the Untied States?
