Religion is a personal thing. If Obama wants to celebrate the religious aspect of Christmas, he should be allowed to. Nothing more, nothing less.
Let me explain the hypocritical anti-theist leftists to you.
If it wasn't Obama, they'd argue that a prez shouldn't use the office to support a god, especially a christ-ish god. Separation of church and state, doncha know. Let him thank god privately or in a church. By thanking god, a not-Obama prez would be a theocratic monster.
Because it was Obama with this very christian message, all is a-ok.

Good post and I'll add.........no Christian would let the Dahlia Lama walk out the back door through garbage. Any good Christian would met with Netanyahu and discuss any matters before going out in public and showing the world you don't agree with each other.
He's the kind of Christian the left likes, one that really doesn't act like a Christian, those are the best kind for the left.
President Barack Obama delivered an unusually stark Christian message at the White House Christmas tree lighting Thursday night, saying Christ's message "lies at the heart of my Christian faith and that of millions of Americans."
"More than 2,000 years ago, a child was born to two faithful travelers who could find rest only in a stable, among the cattle and the sheep," Obama said at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a longstanding White House tradition.
"But this was not just any child," Obama continued. "Christ’s birth made the angels rejoice and attracted shepherds and kings from afar. He was a manifestation of God’s love for us."
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year everyone!!
It's an election year! This guy could care less! Plus he's already seen the guff that the Rhode Island governor just went thru with his lack of reverence for Christ in CHRIST-MAS, with "holiday" tree crap!
