Most recently they are trying to undo their socialized medicine operation due to the high cost.

America's problem for decades has been a cancer of socialism within our Capitalistic Democratic Republic.
We should help out our elderly and very disabled long term, the rest should be cut back to temporary safety nets.
If we don't cut soon, we will not be able to even help the elderly or disabled anymore.
Fail.

There are no Socialist countries.

I hope that this is true. We best not ever revert to being the more quiet, polite side of the aisle. They have always been the party of militancy and often in the worst of ways. I shall never lower myself to that level that they have performed on, but...militancy can be done with law-abiding dignity.

it's time~

When did the tides turn
I think Liberals (i.e. Democrats) are the more whiny. They have more of the "sky is falling" mentality. Meanwhile the conservatives (i.e. Republicans) are more into shouting. That's probably mostly due to the fairly recent advent of conservative talk radio personalities. So it's usually a kind of pseudo-patriotic shouting. A [wise] person has to pick and choose what whines and/or shouts to believe... if any.
