Of course they can only send it on to congress and watch Dirty Harry table it or Obama veto it. After all it's only 176 billion dollars. Hell Obama threw away a trillion on the stimulous that nobody seems to remember anymore.

“We need some transparency about what’s really going on,” said McMorris Rodgers. “It’s hard to get information. We’re talking about U.S. taxpayer dollars being involved in the European bailout. The administration needs to be honest with the Congress. I believe Congress needs to be involved in making this decision.”

But Coburn and other Republicans are skeptical their effort will be successful. They expect Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to prevent the Senate from voting on legislation to block U.S. funds from being used in an IMF bailout.

Even if it passes Congress, Coburn says President Obama would likely veto the legislation."

Against the Fed ?

ROFL..good luck with that one.
Maybe they'll just talk alot for a week and do nothing. Similar to the flap they gave about Obama bypassing them to bomb Libya. It all died down and Congress acted like we never went to Libya.

Was it Cheney who said the Constitution was nothing but a piece of paper ?
Well, this administration is putting it to the test and so far they are passing with every move they make.

It was 787 billion, about a third of which came in the form of tax cuts or tax incentives -- unlike the $3 trillion that your buddies Dubya and Dick threw away on nation building in Iraq. Obama stimulus stayed in the American economy; the war funds went to defense contractors.

Some people really are suckers. You can fool them with the same game over and over again. Republicans will not block this move because they don't want to block this move; they're paid by bank lobbyists to make sure this sort of stuff passes. They will make sure there is EXACTLY enough votes to pass the measure then allow any excess members to vote against it in order to position themselves for the next election. It's a show and game, people. This is how Washington works and if you're still falling for this nonsense then you're not the sharpest tool in the shed.

There's nothing unconstitutional about bailing out the global financial system.

The Federal Reserve cannot be ruled by Congress. Congress signed their duty to manage the coinage of money of the United States away in 1913.

Who's going to bail out the U.S. when we need it in a few years? Is the European Union gonig to save us? The Fed is bailing out European banks right now. In 2008/2009 European banks received billions in tarp payouts for being counter parties to AIG when the insurance company was bailed out.
America is on her own. No more U.S. money for Europe!

Got to love it..we have a lame Congress.

The President can bomb a country based on "humanitarian efforts" without asking Congress.
And now we have the Fed promising money to other countries without asking Congress.

Nice how the Fed is now making US monetary policy eh ?

So we have bankers running Italy and Greece and one making policy here in the US.
Who says the bankers aren't running the show around here ?

There's nothing in the constitution allowing it to happen with tax dollars.

Most of the Obama stimulus ended up in the pockets of big union labor and their associated companies and last time I checked the defense contractors were also American companies.
