Look at the african-american community and that's all you need to know. The same thing applies to mexican-Americans and Asians. All brainwashed for generations. That is why I got off the Democratic plantation. There was too much BS going on in that didn't make sense. Black people who are conservative but wouldn't tolerate homosexuality and abortion. And from what I remember, Blacks and Mexicans in California came out enmasse to vote for Proposition 8. They lost because of corrupt liberal politicians (who they voted in) and are still voting democrats to this day and think republicans are the enemy even though their state has gone straight to the dogs from illegal immigration to liberal politicians. That is voting against your own interest and evident brainwash. It doesn't matter if you have a master's degree or PhD. You can have a brain and still be brainwashed and lack wisdom. All one has to do is take a look at today's generation of college students.

Asians don't vote for Democrats because of immigration. That's bull.
No, it's not. Mexicans vote Democrat because of this same reason. And from the effects of illegal immigration, it's evident. The Democrats know they have secured the Mexican and Asian vote because of this.

What i don't understand is if all these different minority groups are so called "natural Republicans" but won't vote like it.... according to every Republican that i know, why do you blame the groups for not voting Republican instead of blaming the Republican Party itself? Obviously you guys must be doing something to turn these people off. Why don't you find out what it is?
I have found out what it is. Most Democrats voters have no idea about the history of politics in this country, do not care to research about the policies their party supports (the black community especially), they are extremely uneducated about what works for business owners and multi-millionaires (there is a reason most of them are republican), and lastly most are simply generational voters.

The differance between the parties are outstanding. Democrats are all about socialism, liberal policies, big government, and getting the minority vote. That's how they are sustained by Blacks, Mexicans, & Asians. Republicans are about capitalism, limited government, & conservative morale (which most Asians, Blacks, and Mexicans follow). So yes, these groups vote against their own interest and it will only change until they research and study the history of their own party and what works for business owners and millionaires. That's exactly what I did. Once they decide to get off the Democrat plantation, there will be more success for all of them.

It's been this way for quite a while:
"Study, Study, Study" - A Bad Career Move

As someone who once did work as a 'community organizer' in an area with a large asian population (Seattle) it was always my experience that Asians tended to be non-political and did not like to talk about politics. I don't know why, but that's the way it was. The result is that they get taken for a ride--they support Democrats who jack up their taxes and take academic slots from their kids.

The major form of discrimination in the Ivy League, and probably other privately owned colleges, is "Legacy Admission" followed by the "Gentleman's C". The result has been a huge number of wealthy dolts taking up space and graduating as dumb as they entered. Our political process attracts these people to both parties.

This discrimination will decrease as more and more minorities gain access to the schools and graduate. Then their kids will have the advantage of "legacy admission". This is how cultural and racial elite societies are eventually diluted and destroyed. That is a very good thing.

2. I love that Asians know that there is any workaround for this. The only racial group in the United States that requires proof of ancestry is Native American. Otherwise you really can check whichever box you want. If Soledad O'brien can claim to be black what's to stop them?
She is black.

You know it really weird being on the outside of a race thread. Aside from the usual pot shots in this thread I really don't have that much to say. I find it funny that so called Republicans are in here blasting Asian-Americans in the worst way just like so called Republican try to blast black people in a thread everyday here. I read this whole thing and just to highlight: Asian-Americans were called foreigners, they were called too stupid because they apparently vote against their interest because Democrats are evil and Republicans are good, they were called not patriotic enough because more go to school than fight in the Army, they were labled boring as well. When you guys make blanket statements like this do you realize you are shooting yourself in the foot? Ok, let me give you a better example: "Black people are always voting against their best interest. If they weren't so stupid they would get off that democratic plantation and come over to ours." Once again, I'm not exaggerating. Think before you type.

Also public universities don't discriminate, Asian-Americans are more than welcome to go there. I went to the university of Maryland at College Park there are more Asian-Americans there than Black Americans. But I guess maybe that is my myopic opinion surfacing again. I'm sorry that someone had to go to Columbia because they couldn't get into Brown.

So during your time at college, you never learned that anecdotal evidence doesn't trump statistical data? Asians are, in fact, discrimated against as numerous studies have shown. The fact that there are many Asians enrolled in universities doesn't change that. While Asians are over represented in higher learning based on their percentage of the population, the standards are raised for Asians while it is lowered for other minorities, which pushes down the Asian numbers from what it would be in a race neutral scenario. Maybe in you mind that is somehow fair, but I'd say that you hae a very corrupted idea of fairness then.

+1

I guess it makes it OK as long as it's almost as good - you know, that whole "separate but equal" thing. Sure, why don't they(we) just use that other school/water fountain/bathroom/bus seat?

I agree with everything you have stated here, other than the bolded. Make no mistake about it, what keeps Asian enrollment numbers lower are the lower standards that whites are held to since they are the majority. In otherwords, even if every minority were held to the same standard as an Asian, the number of Asians would still be affected by the sheer number of whites being favored over them.
