Bush was not a conservative, he was a populist and his spending and prescription med program was not needed either.

They are not able to decipher between fox news opinion and facts. No wonder we have a higher IQ than them.

Outside of the war, I guess if he fired all the unneeded government workers that could have balanced out, I agree.
He was NOT a conservative President, he was like a McCain, a populist.
Basically he was a fiscal Democrat-lite.

If you can send a letter coast to coast for $0.44 you could put Fed Ex and UPS out of business. The only way the USPS does it is by losing money and spending tax dollars. It costs much more than $0.44 to send a letter today, you may not pay it directly with a stamp but we all pay for it. But that generally doesn't bother the left, it's all good as long as someone else pays for it.

I think we should handle the elderly and disabled no problem; if there are other social safety nets they need to be temporary.
We also need to limit social services to only citizens, not residents or illegals.

DD ~ for such a young guy, you sure are living in the past. From the ssa.gov website "as of March 2011, 85 percent of all Social Security and SSI beneficiaries received their benefits by direct deposit.

If you are gonna limit social services to only citizens, then perhaps you shouldn't take taxes from legal non-citizens then.

Thanks for pointing that out, but I am still concerned that old wrinkly Republicans who are behind on technology will not get their benefit checks from the Government in time. Remember not everyone is as up to speed with technology as young trendy Democrats like myself.
