Perry is just appealing to his base.
Not to get off topic but who is obama appealing to with his exporting of the gay agenda overseas?

Do you have anything that proves gays are not sexual and intellectual deviants?

This changes nothing about what I correctly asserted: that marriage is a fundamental right.

People who say it is not are either ignorant or dishonest. Since the people in this thread who claim it is not have many times been directed to this part of the holding in Loving, I can only assume they fall into the latter category.

Reading comprehension would be a great help to you.

It is applicable, which is why it is cited in EVERY SINGLE CASE about gay marriage. The issue has not yet bubbled up to the SCOTUS.

Even lawyers arguing AGAINST gay marriage CONCEDE THAT MARRIAGE IS A RIGHT.

Now if they don't argue it, why do you?

Money talks. Of course we can seek to change their beliefs and views by withholding money from them . That's the entire premise behind UN sanctions. Take away the support these countries depend on, until they become more civilized and actually earn the money we give them.

Gay marriage does not affect your rights in any way shape or form, unless you happen to be gay and want to get married.

Not your call.

Plus, you're wrong. Marriage is a right. Marriage is governed by laws. Equal protection of the law is a right. Bans on gay marriage violate equal protection. It's really not that hard to figure out.

That we as a nation have replaced most sensibilities with the upside down and inside out PC laws of the fringe left makes us a laughing stock in many other countries. And to attempt to impose our decay as a condition of aid only drives wedges deeper.
I am so sorry that the civil liberties of others are such a burden to you. Have you considered moving to a more socially conservative place? Islamabad?

50 years ago John F Kennedy committed us to space exploration with the inspiring national goal of achieving the landing of an American on the moon by the end of the decade. Today, this kind of crap is all we do - ever.

It is pathetic....and the only countries that don't see it that way are the ones sinking fast by the bow like we are.
The only thing pathetic here is the willingness of some to remain so unbelievably ignorant and hateful - talking about overbearing PCness in one breath and supporting authoritarianism in another.

Breathtaking hypocrisy.

So New York is the gay mecca in this country, not SF.

7% of the Dallas population is gay, or just under 60,000 as porty said.

Texas? Do us a favor and keep your maniacs out of national politics!
No, Perry is probably closeted like a large chunk of anti gay conservatives.
