Plus there were case workers who visited in the field to see the home they lived in and were checked randomly to see the living situation of the recipients. Today there is brazen cheating and probably no checking as it was years ago.

I know of situations where illegals work for $20 an hour and have there wife receive welfare and food stamps for their many children as they were born here. They are doing so much better than many other working poor Americans. It is the land of the plenty but not for many Americans.

caseworkers still do visits. your story is incorrect. illegal immigrants are not eligible for any type of federal aid - food stamps, medicaid, medicare, housing assistance, tanf. damn hard to fake your eligibility now adays. the fraud is being committed by our own. most states also do not allow illegals access to any type of tax payer paid services

no way private charities can handle the case load of cases here in America. many private charities have to run to the government/state just to keep from falling under

you can anonymously report people for welfare fraud. there is a jail/large fine attached to the charge

Now you claim to work an an upscale establishment. I highly doubt a significant percentage of those payments are cash. If your story is true, it's definitely not the norm in the waiting industry. Many people who have never worked in a restaurant as a waiter/waitress like to think and claim that these waiters get away with not paying taxes which is simply not true. My checks from getting paid $2.13 an hour all went to taxes and many times I ended up owing taxes.

My gut feeling is you are one of those people who has never worked as a waiter and started this thinly veiled (very obvious to me) op as a way of showing your unfounded grievances.
