I'm surprised....14 years? Damn some murderers do not get that harsh of a sentence...

I don't agree with our country's whole "justice" system and sentencing, but for how others are treated currently, he deserved more.

Also, as much as Chicago does have the most leverage in Illinois, Chicago ≠ Illinois.
I knew there had to be something that you and I actually agreed on.

Well stated post!!

I will tell you, though, that I know of no one here in Illinois, Democrat or Republican, who feels he doesn't deserve the maximum they lay on him.
I know, I'm from Illinois too.
Exactly! I agree with you both (other than the "I voted for the guy the first time around" part ) And, sadly, I'm from Illinois too.

Blago needed to study Mayor Richard Daley, and be a little more subtle in his dealings, and stay above fray.

He blew a good thing.

They had to keep charging him with something. Sooner or later they were going to find him guilty.

Scary stuff this kind of trial. I don't support what "Blago" did, and I think he was breaking the law. But if you bring him to trial once, and he walks, then you shouldn't get to try, try again.
