Terrific news. No one should have to choose between eating and paying for their medications.

"So far this year, more than 2.2 million people with Medicare have saved more than $1.2 billion on their prescriptions.

Oh, but I'm sure you're one of the many who condemned Bush's expansion of Medicare Part D. Typical cherry picking hypocrisy.

As time goes on, more and more positive impact will be apparent. Gasp! Could the "Pelosi Prophecy" be coming true? Could some people be beginning to see what's in it?

So 50% off their medication costs is supposed to be impressive?

Americans are charged up to 75% more then citizens in other countries for the exact same medication by the exact same manufacturer...

Another shame on the American people...

Someone else is paying for it.... namely the young.

Why would you assume that? I am a classic liberal - I'm not against anything that provides more access to care.

Would have been nice if it had been paid for, but, water under the bridge.

I know, how will we survive that 3.5% rate of inflation?

3.5% was the COLA adjustment this year..... I suggest you check out the CPI/BLS numbers, which are often inaccurate.

Inflation in the energy sector over the last year is in the 30%+ range.

My utility company just raised rates 10%.... this is a tax on us all. Inflation.

Wait, don't seniors have a prescription plan for buying meds? So what, they now pay $2 instead of $4?
