As long as he removes the stench of Obama I am on board.

I'm sure Newt would be glad to start a few more wars.

Among republican candidates, Newt is the shrewdest of all. He is in another league than Bachman, ect.
Newt says what he thinks may further his political plans, with no intention of following up, if elected.
The US is not in position to start new wars, neither with Iran, Syria, ect, regardless who will be president. No politician wants to be blamed for adding trillions to the deficit.

First Read - Gingrich says he'd name John Bolton as secretary of state
Gingrich is in dire need of ritalin. He bounces from one idea to the next without thinking.
I read a comment on another forum that basically said if Newt were actually voted into office, he'd have to build fences on the borders just to keep Americans from escaping en masse.

So you would rather we get into another war and get good honest military people killed just so you can feel good to get rid of President Obama?
Are you actually an American?

He did not seem to have it together today in CNN interview. He seemed confused about the questions about Israel and mid-east. He did not know every president since the 60s have made comments against Israel's west bank settlements. Yes, even Reagan.

He's been very busy in the last decade, writing alternative history fiction. Re-writing history, basically. He's having a hard time switching back to the true stuff.

Because it is part and parcel of "The Plan" which is your long-term Geo-political strategy.
You need to eliminate any potential Russian ally or control any geographic area where Russians might be able to defend themselves after you set up your No-Fly Zone and take control of eastern Russia.

Give him a week or two... he'll flip-flop!
03/07/11 (before NATO intervened in Libya):
Quote:
Van Susteren: "First let me ask you about Libya. It's in the news. The president has said that military options with NATO are not off the table. What would you do about Libya?"
|
Quote:
Gingrich: "Exercise a no-fly zone this evening, communicate to the Libyan military that Gadhafi was gone and that the sooner they switch sides, the more like they were to survive, provided help to the rebels to replace him. I mean, the idea that we're confused about a man who has been an anti-American dictator since 1969 just tells you how inept this administration is. They were very quick to jump on Mubarak, who was their ally for 30 years, and they were confused about getting rid of Gadhafi. This is a moment to get rid of him. Do it. Get it over with. …
|
16 days later, on 03/23/11, after the NATO intervention had begun:
Quote:
"I would not have intervened. I think there were a lot of other ways to affect Gadhafi. I think there are a lot of allies in the region that we could have worked with. I would not have used American and European forces, bombing Arab and that country."

You mean like funding anti-government sentiment in Russia? Oh wait, that's Obama and Clinton with their (red) "reset" button.
