You can't show someone a missing link. There are millions of missing links.

Those are generally the reasons why.
I fully believe in evolution, but you make excellent points that I have also pondered myself.

It doesn't try to, and never has. That's not part of evolutionary theory. That's abiogenesis.

So, wrong.

This evidences a serious misunderstanding of evolutionary science. No missing link is required. The very idead of a "missing link" makes no sense.

ALL FORMS ARE TRANSITIONAL.

This is a bogus argument against evolution.

This is something I have often wondered about.

I am a hard atheist and a huge fan of the hypothetical free-market. I keep hearing liberals (communist losers who couldn't hack it in a free world) who claim to be atheists talking about right and wrong and good and bad and all sorts of other intellectually dishonest dogmatic crap. I really can't understand how an intellectually honest and rational person could support the dogmatic and un-natural BS that is socialism.
Then we get to Christians who claim to be conservatives. How is that possible? If Jesus (a fictional character modeled after Horus as a tool to pacify the conquered) were alive today, he would be classified as a commie. I don't get it.

I find free market survival of the fittest (most adaptable to the environment) and Darwinism quite compatible and preferable. I view the thought of some deity or other governing body having dominion over me as disturbing.

What is 'Darwinism'? Do you mean evolution? There is no such thing as Darwinism.

I believe in evolution but even the most jaded scientist admits that the fact that we exist is borderline miraculous.

So, who's to say for sure that there wasn't some sort of guiding hand.

If Darwinism is applicable towards humans then is the concept of equality among humans voided? Some humans are more highly developed than others and then they should be the ones who determine what is good for lesser ones. I could see this leading to a diminishment of rights among people who are unable to provide for themselves. I mean we must wonder what some people are thinking when they engage in actions which are unsound. Perhaps they are some sort of lesser human who needs to be directed in their life?

I have believed in Darwinism before... but have some serious questions currently
Not saying that Darwinism isn't true to an extent but...

Why is it that people have become progressively dumber, fatter, more ignorant, backwards and angrier over the last 20 yrs after reaching their peak in the 1980's?

Having lived through the 80's, I'm not sure I can agree with that.

I am quite sure of it, I lived through them in reality... never in human history have their been so many arrogant self entitled douches as today. Furthermore, obesity is at record levels, education has been going down.....

Maybe for you, gay rights is a reason to say we have evolved, but most signs point to us going backward, not forward
