More young healthy males than not would get a bit excited and consider it if offered a BJ from a male gorilla if he figured out a way it wouldn't be dangerous.
Is there such a thing as opportunistic situational homsexuality?

I was just reading something like this the other day on arfcom. Produced a lot of reaction from folks who felt very confused on their sexuality.
If given a choice you HAD to make, would you rather be with the "lady" in the first post's picture or Rosie O'Donnell? Kind of like a "if you had to choose, would you rather be deaf or blind?" question.

It's suprisingly common for passable asian ts' to look like that. But then it's straight men (and bi men) who like ladyboys because they look like women.

See, where I see the disconnect there is that the intended act versus the actual act do not have to be congruent. For example, there is a biological need to procreate in all humans that drives sexuality. No way to deny that. That instinct exists even if the woman or man is knowingly infertile/not virile or using BC. It provides a scaffold to the sexual act. Likewise, some people attracted to ladyboys, etc. are acting out of instinct, because the "lady" is dressed and has mannerisms similar to a female, sometimes more so than mainstream women. If a straight male and "ladyboy" copulate and the male does so without paying attention to "her" organ, instinct dictates it may be considered as straight as being with a woman because the "ladyboy" is acting the part. This may be especially true if the male in question would not be seen dead with a "regular" male or a hairy man in a dress.
Not trying to justify the choice, just offering some philosophical musings.
Statistics FAIL. Few true homophobic men would undergo a study to measure their penis circumference before and after watching gay sex. The grant associated with the study does not have enough money to compensate people for participating.
The study is deeply flawed. But it's written by Underwater Basketweaving Today, so it's expected.
Not to mention the fact that, if the subjects became aroused, that would indicate that they do not actually fear homosexuality hence are not "homophobes" but merely denying their sexuality.

Not true. Homophobia includes an aversion to and intense hatred of homosexuality and homosexuals. One can preach hate against gays as a defense mechanism to suppress their own same-sex attractions. Their mind tries to tell them they are not gay/bisexual and their hatred fuels that mentality ("Gays are disgusting, therefore I can't possibly be gay!"), but their involuntary bodily responses tell a different story.
I really wish people would stop taking the Greek etymology of "Homophobia" so literally. Understand does not mean to stand under or to be under a stand. There may be better words to describe intense dislike or hatred of all things gay, but homophobia has stuck for now, deal with it.
