Sounds like it's part of Obama's Fast and Furious - the US government allows the criminal cartels access over an unenforced and very open border, they can run drugs and are also being given high-powered weapons to use against anyone who gets in their way.

Why was an active duty soldier in the USA border working for the cartels and why was he in Mexico? Just like the Muslim soldier who only wanted to kill Americans. What kind of military do we have under Obama?

Arrested by another country - and the media reporting of the crime apparently is being suppressed. That certainly makes you wonder. Is the news media failing to report this event for particular reasons? When the military had problems under Bush, it was all over the news.

Let the cartels behead him with a chainsaw as they like to do. He played the game, now he shouldn't get a get-out-jail-free-card.

Which was a continuation of the Bush policy from several years before.

I dunno...

Maybe Bush and Obama didn't really have any input about the operation. Maybe DEA and DOJ went ahead and carried it out w/o the presidents' involvement.

The US military has a huge problem with gangmembers (especially Hispanic gangmembers) within the military. It's too be expected as long as we recruit foreigners and 1st generations.
