why do many say africans never built any civilization what so ever???
I myself and the intellectuals know sub saharan africans constructed civilizations of their own but it seems that a good majority of people say they haven't and criticize the population for it...
many native american cultures only had huts and a temple but it appears to be generaly romantic view for that culture live that way.. but the african cultures that had a similar civilization is held unfavorably...
some exmples would be the ashanti empire
the enslaved illiterate blacks of haiti won the revolution ended their slaverly and wanted to show the world that they of sub saharan african descent could built and rule a cilvilization..., it is very unfortunated they could not however but they managed to create some impreesive stuctures before the economy fell apart. the citadelle is the largest fortress in the americas, built so no one would take over them again. the sans-soucipalace of haiti is also impressive.
also what about an african american working on construction of a skyscrappper does that not count..
People who discount the contributions of Africans to world and U.S. history are racists and not worth your time. Most of us whites recongize that all people -- to include those from subahara Africa -- have contributed to the world we have today. Our nation in particular would be very different if it weren't for the contributions of its citizens of African descent.

I think almost all blacks came from hotter regions. I don't think there was ever a need for them to build stone buildings and so forth.
They were busy IMO hunting or farming.
There was also lots of tribal warfare and probably some nomadic things going on because of flooding and other climate issues.

Beyond civilizations, Sub-Saharan Africa has the distinction of being the birthplace of the Human Race itself.
But then again, Detroit was once the center of the universe too. The past doesn't change the fact that Central Africa today is without a doubt the most miserable hell-hole on the entire planet.
Well, since I thought it has been proven that all of civilization originated in Africa . . . I believe one could say that Africa is the mother country of ALL civilizations.
I know, but in general the climate is a warm one they don't need to shelter as much with stone the way colder places do.
The farming and flooding or lack of water at times also have kept populations on the move.

Could very well be, though the oldest African found so far that I remember was an Asian. Small world even then I guess.
