They should not erect religious symbols on public property in the first place, because it is public property.

To not wish to practice any religion also falls under freedom of religion, because you are free to be completely non-religious. No one has ever been prosecuted by the federal government for not practicing a religion. That is a basic freedom that people in many countries still do not have today.

And you are also allowed to not be forced to involve yourself with religion, hence Freedom from Religion.

It offends some religious, but they are generally the Theocrat supporters. A courthouse has no business or need to erect a giant cross on its property.

Oh please. That falls directly under freedom OF religion. You are free to believe or not. END OF STORY!

So then they also had no business granting a citizen the right to erect a crucified Santa right? That offends people.

This is getting ridiculous. It's semantics. The government cannot stop you from practicing your choice of religion, nor can it force you to participate in a religion against your choice. Freedom of and from.

Stop with this stupid argument about a preposition.
