I listen to Rush nearly every day. I think this article has probably taken something out of context (no surprise), as I have never heard Rush make any such flat statement. But Fox isn't "conservative" per se. They do make an effort to be "fair and balanced" as they say. Certainly Shep Smith isn't conservative, and there are others I wouldn't call 'conservative' who are regulars (I don't really consider O'Reilly 'conservative' either).
Rush —
I am so grounded in conservativism, I'm so grounded in common sense, it's not possible for me to waver from it. I don't doubt myself! - Rush Limbaugh
Atlantic writer — "Has there ever been a less conservative sentiment uttered than the one above?"
Huh???
He doesn't explain himself.
So, Rush says he is grounded in conservatism (and I know this to be true as I know something about his upbringing and what his father taught him). So, his statement is somehow hypocritical? How?
The rest of the article is just as stupid. Which is why I don't read the Atlantic.
This seems to confirm my belief that the left is basically uneducated. I don't care if they have been to college. They are ignorant numskulls, and they do not know how to think or read. They only know what to think. And they have very poor comprehension skills.

Outside of Hannity, the rest are all populists, not conservatives IMO.
The one financial guy with the MS is also a conservative, but sticks to financial issues.
Rush is right.
Maybe some look to Fox as being conservative because when they see the other stations they look so; but IMO the others are so left that some like NBC/MS-NBC are actually arms of the Democrat party the way they report.
