That is an excellent article. It truly is accurate. Not that you could tell the left wingers anything. I mean....we have an exampole of where the obama thinking will take us.....all we have to do is look across the Atlantic at Europe. Look even closer at GREECE.....this is our future under the obama leadership template.
Unfortunately, there are many stupid people in this country who simply buy the idea that everyone should be entitled to something for nothing. I support unemployment benefits...and why not?? Companies pay into that system...it's not just government paid benefits....same goes for Social Security. SS isn't a handout....SS has been paid into by the people who have worked for decades so that they might have a retirement benefit.....not a government handout.
But there are programs that the government sponsors that are nothing more than handouts. Those have to be curtailed. The government can't give grants to research how many male prostitutes there are in Viet nam....(true that they did this) anymore. It's irresponsible and just plane foolish. We need to make these nincompoops held responsible for what they do with OUR money.

Clearly Obama has an ego as big as the all outdoors. I think that he believes that HE can make it work...even if the Euros can't....even if the russians can't. Just like with nationalized healthcare (OBAMACARE) which he rammed through so that he could claim that as part of his legacy (kind of a one upsmanship thing with the Clintons who tried it)....this guy ignores history and facts and plunges full bore into changing the USA to a socialist style of government.
It's about EGO....he has proven that he is not a uniter as he claimed...he is a DIVIDER. He leaves a jobs bill on the desk of congress and tells them...PASS IT AS IS...no negotiation.....while he hits the campaign trail (a full year ahead of elections). It's either his way...or he'll simply blame the republicans for stonewalling and rejecting his 'WONDERFUL' ideas so they can get him out of office (as he is now claiming). Doesn't matter that the bill is a piece of S***...now he can BLAME...as is his MO...(he's been blaming Bush for the last 3 years)
This guy has to go. he has shown that he has no capacity for learning from mistakes of the past OR the mistakes that are staring him directly in the face from across the ocean. That...along with other conditions...makes him a pitiful leader. And in times like these that are facing this country right now....we NEED a strong leader. he isn't it.

I'd like to review your evidence. Under the trickle down theory, if one lowers taxes on the wealthy, the poor would be better off.
What the we found was that when we lowered taxes on the wealthy, their income soared and left everyone else stagnant.
Trickle-down theory predicts a positive correlation between inequality and economic growth, the idea being that income disparities strengthen motivation to get ahead. Yet when researchers track the data within individual countries over time, they find a negative correlation. In the decades immediately after World War II, for example, income inequality was low by historical standards, yet growth rates in most industrial countries were extremely high. In contrast, growth rates have been only about half as large in the years since 1973, a period in which inequality has been steadily rising.
There is no empirical evidence that trickle down is anything but a historically discredited theory.
