I well remember the 1968 Democrat National Convention and what happened at it when protesters came in from the streets trying to take the meeting over. Back then the conventions were nominating and platform writing conventions unlike today when they come in with both things taken care of. Anyway the occupiers from Charlotte promise that they May interfere if they don't hold an outside convention to hurt the Democrats.
Well, look at that...the democrats trying to thwart being occupied by the occupiers. Funny, they are for the most part from the same side of the aisle.
I guess the dems, unions have made a calculation tying their wagon to the occupy bowel movement in an attempt to ride the coattails of malcontents is risky business.
If Charlotte officials fear having another Chicago '68 on their hands, they're hoping to take one essential weapon out of the hands of activists: their tents. On Oct. 27, the Charlotte city manager released a draft ordinance that makes camping on public property a "public nuisance" and would prohibit "noxious substances," padlocks and other camping equipment that city officials fear could impede traffic and create public safety issues.
Yes please, another 1968 for the dems would be welcomed.

I remember that 1968 debacle very well. I was one of those Democrats back then and was really unhappy when the protesters broke onto the floor of the meeting hall. I wanted to be able to take a few of them out with a .50 caliber machine gun. Now I would accept it saying that you guys spoke out in support of them now live with them.
My favorite historical picture of all time came out of that one. The protester standing there with hiss main finger hoisted and telling the police what to do to themselves. Right beside him was a car that they had rolled on its top. Protesters really do believe that anything they do is legal and acceptable
Occupiers better watch out. The Dems will really put the smack down if anyone tries to interfere with their ride.
I feel sorry for my favorite city in the South since they will have to try to keep the peace and have heir police accused of being stupid for trying to enforce the law.
Now the Democrats, I don't feel sorry for because it was their leader, just before Mrs. Pelosi who supported the occupiers. They earned whatever they get.

Especially the ones who don't like "rules", and run for cover under the 1st amendment in an attempt to defend their ignorance, bad behavior, stupidity, idiocy....
When are the occupy wall streeters going to wake up and realize they have made no impact on anything? Other than their own rap sheets.
Who is paying attention to these fools any longer (other than the city officials who have to deal with their temper tantrums)?

You know that the RNC convention is also going to be a site that the Occupy folks intend to visit...
