What did he mean (in your best estimation)? How did that statement make you feel when he said it and how do you feel now he's 3/4 of the way through of his term?

Play nice and be honest with your opinions.

Talk amongs't yourselves.

I thought he was going to end the wars, shut down GITMO, repeal the Patriot Act and abolish the Bush tax cuts. I felt that Bush had taken us off on the wrong direction with his policies, and Obama's criticisms of them matched mine. I thought he was going to reverse course and let America be America again. I was wrong.

I thought it would be a bad deal for small businesses.

So, I took everything out of banks (with the exception of my business account).

Bought as much ahead in supplies as I could. Even built a new 100 X 80 pole building to store more.

Bought a new well rig.

The good thing for me from Obama is lately I have gotten some great deals on equipment as drillers go out of business.

Of course, I will not transfer it to my name until Obama is gone.

He is getting nothing from me, I can just wait him out.

I thought it a very grand statement of the type most politicians make on their honeymoon with the voters, but very rarely can make good on.

He can be an inspirational speaker, but he is not an inspirational leader. However, since most politicians suffer from the same affliction, the President is a typical politician; not the cream of the crop.

Saying that, I like the guy, and I think he is the best of the very, very, ordinary politicians that will participate in the upcoming Presidential race.

it's a very ambiguous statement....I don't like to speculate on things like that. Even moreso because there are so many fundamentals that need to be changed in this country.. I know one thing for certain...most of them do not resonate with Obama's

I knew it was just campaign rhetoric when I heard it knowing how the gvt functions, bills originate in congress and he either signs or veto's the bills. And I know how slow moving the Senate is.
