So, once again the republicans come to the defense of the millionaires & billionaires in wanting to freeze the wages of federal employees rather than put a surtax on those making over 1 million a year. Weren't they also calling for laying off federal workers?
Nice going, cons. Wouldn't want to cross Grover Norquist, would we.
Ha! this leaves out the part where the repubs want to tack on other stuff to the bill. How convenient to leave that out.
Exactly. The GOP is planning to earmark the snot out of the bill with right wing pork projects. They are saying the GOP might shut it's own bill down, let alone it passing the senate.
Obama is just making it clear to the GOP to stop playing games and he will veto any trash bill from them that makes it to his desk.
I would also add, as your title is misleading, that there no longer is a tax cut for anyone, since the Repubs could not come to an agreement in the last attempt by both sides to come up with a budget, that is why they are trying to push a seperate bill now. Obama will not agree to extending the tax cuts for the rich which the Repubs insist upon. Nice try but your thread is an Epic Faiure.
Um.. I guess someone would have to tell you that in order for Obama to Veto the bill, they would have to have come to an agreement, in both branches of government

Um... freezing the wages of federal employees in no way helps millionaires, or billionaires.. The federal government isnt privately owned, nor can you buy stock in it
It would be the one that creates jobs. But then why would Obama want to ruin his record of job destruction?
I think a properly vetted pipe line plan would be preferrable. It may take a little longer to evaluate the location, but eventually it would still allow for the 5000-6000 jobs.

I already knew it will never get past the Senate, that has been the operating method of the Repugs in the House for the last two years, pass Partisan Bills that they know will never get past the Senate then claim they are trying to do something. As for agreements, isn't the Repugs that keep saying NO Compromise

It won't be brought up for vote, ergo, no need for Veto.
The Washington Times? Isn't that newspaper the personal mouthpiece of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon?
Yup. Call me Mr. Skeptic, but when the editor-in-chief quite literally considers himself the 2nd coming of Christ, I tend to question the veracity of the headlines.
