I would also add, as your title is misleading, that there no longer is a tax cut for anyone, since the Repubs could not come to an agreement in the last attempt by both sides to come up with a budget, that is why they are trying to push a seperate bill now. Obama will not agree to extending the tax cuts for the rich which the Repubs insist upon. Nice try but your thread is an Epic Faiure.

You mean "Obama will not agree to increasing taxes for the rich"; correct? Because at, this point, repealing the Bush tax cuts would amount to a tax increase.
The Republicans have come up with a way to at least partially pay for this. I thought compromise was the way to get things done... I guess the definition of "compromise" has now been changed to mean that one side gives in a little and the other side never gives in at all.
