These type of posts praising Lowe's is very upsetting to me as someone who believes in the idea our founding fathers had for the US as a free, welcoming country, including freedom of religion.
People praise Lowe's for a variety of reasons and if you belive in this freedom you believe they, or any other company, can make business decisions. Lowe's has done nothing "anti muslim", they just stopped advertising on a reality tv show, the best of which are still on the lowest rung of importance in our society. Nevermind a boring one like this. I can't wait to see if TLC can ever cancel it since everyone is sure to jump on them for "caving" rather than making a business decision.

People in this thread are praising Lowe's for giving in to bigotry against muslims, I find that disgusting, they are supporting anti muslim sentiment. As I said in the post it's Lowe's right to boycott the show, but it's my right to show the how I feel by not shopping there because I find their decision appalling, and anti american values, which is exactly how I feel about the posters who praise their decision.
Frankly, I'm pleased to learn that Lowes has a Muslim customer base for its home improvement and construction products. It's good to know that some Muslims are into building things instead of blowing them up.
This is truly sad. Now, you aren't even allowed to be Muslim in this country without facing backlash.
Because after 9/11, Richard Reid, the underwear bomber, and the ritualistic decapitation of Nick Berg (just to name a few of their recent exploits), they truly are a religion of peace, right?

Eh, you're forgetting that Lowe's has a pretty well-stocked electrical and plumbing departments.
This just in! Our beef shouldn't be with the Florida Family Association pressuring Lowe's to drop that ad. Lowe's really dropped that ad to comply with Muslim groups who disliked the show. The FFA had no bearing on what went down.
(And never mind that regardless of who pushed Lowe's, it's still a sad state of affairs when a business succumbs to such bullying.)
And yes, a neighbor informed me of this yesterday. Normally this is a pretty smart guy. Maybe his diehard belief that Christians can do no wrong has impaired his otherwise good judgment.
