Why? Christians target non-believers all the time. I've never seen a sign trying to call to Jews to convert.

It may not be the same thing, but it's the same principal.
So you want everyone else to conform to YOUR beliefs? That IS what you are saying here. That since you call it a Christmas Tree, that everyone else should do so as well. If I call it my Holiday Evergreen, I'm wrong, because only your opinion is valid.

The question is why does this group mock Christians?

Why do Christians go around telling people they will go to Hell if they don't agree with them?

That display case was already in a cage for years. It is a designated free speech display area with a cage to prevent vandalism.

I've been there and stood right in front of it.

It was not put in a cage for this display.

It also shows the most amount of disrespect.

So what? How it is any different than a presumptuous and rude evangelical assuming that I NEED saving?

How is it any different than the anti-atheist rants and billboards that some Christians employ?

I'm not an atheist, and I get offended by preachy, presumptuous religious expression all the time. Should that mean I get to have the state ban it?

Why can't atheists just look at a Christmas display and say well that's wonderful? I love my fellow Americans and Christians and I'm thrilled that they are celebrating their beliefs.
Many do. Some don't. Welcome to the marketplace of ideas.

The answer is that these people are simply bitter no class jerks who are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable as well. I'd also be willing to bet that these people are friendless. Miserable people are repulsive.
You just go right ahead and let all those prejudices out.
