It just feels better and better, especially on this particular thread.
To paraphrase Charlie Brown, "I'm not going to let all this PC ruin MY Christmas."

Yes, and I hope the whiners and wailers who feel so persecuted by a mythical War on their Christmas will notice that you posted that freely...no one stopped you..

To me this is just another example of how thin skinned and hateful Christians can be.

Christmas is a Christian Holiday. It's also a secular Holiday. It happens around the same time as many other religious holidays. It belongs to everyone.

I don't care if someone says "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" to me. I get that what they are saying is "I hope you are having a pleasant time this year". If someone CHOOSES to say "Happy Holidays" because they don't know my religious or holiday persuasions, than that is nice of them, they are covering all their bases! If they say "Merry Christmas" then I don't get bent out of shape.

The only people I see getting bent out of shape are the Thin Skinned Christians that bemoan that EVERYONE is out to get them. It's not enough that they make up 99.9% of our government and that society is basically written around them (schools let out for Christmas holidays after all)....but the mere THOUGHT that someone wants to be open and welcoming and use the term "Happy Holidays" to be as inclusive as possible just DRIVES christians INSANE! They are "pressured" to not say Merry Christmas, FORCED to live in a secular world.....poor babies...

If Austin-Steve, like most realtors, sends out cards to former clients as a way of drumming up buisness, then it makes sense to be as all inclusive as possible, as he is conducting BUISNESS. And it's not reasonable of him to assume that ALL his clients celebrate Christmas (although it is realistic to assume they celebrate some type of holiday), therefore "happy holidays" covers all his bases. I don't think it's unreasonable for a BUISNESS to want to consider the needs of ALL their clients.

But if Austin-Steve feels so put upon to send out a card saying "happy holidays" then he should simply send out a card saying "Merry Christmas and EFF you!". It seems like that would make him the happiest, because then all the Politically Correct bullies that are so mean to poor Steve will be turned off and not want to do buisness with him, which seems to be his goal. If they are so horrible to work with, why would Steve want them as clients anyway?

And somehow, I imagine if you continued to do this....YOU STILL WOULDN'T HAVE ANY COMPLAINTS.

There is no problem in this world that can compete with the problem occuring solely in your imagination.

It's not a religious thing for me, it's just an annoyance over the hyper sensitivity of people.

Steve
I am still waiting for you to show me these "hyper sensitive" people that are so annoying to you....

The only one being hyper sensitive is you and the other Christians on this board that somehow feel they are being attacked when someone DARES say "Happy Holidays".
