Minor via counsel claimed 14th Amendment citizenship.
This is an absolute, bald face lie.
Minor's counsel never once even argued Virginia Minor's status as a citizen or the origin of that status. It was never argued or briefed at any level as the case wound its way to the Supreme Court. It was fully conceded by both sides of the case that she was a citizen, and it was even conceded by the Supreme Court in the very first sentence of their decision.
What Virginia Minor (via counsel) actually claimed was that suffrage was "one of the privileges and immunities of her citizenship," and that since the 14th Amendment it could not be abridged by the state.
It is amazing that after three years you still have no idea what the case was about, what the arguments actually were, and what the decision concluded.
Yeah, he must be close to the truth. Stay tuned for, oh, the next 4 years or so for the exciting step by step investigation! Each twist and turn more insidious than the last!
Actually, this investigation concerning the citizenship of TheWon led to a new investigation at DOJ that had nothing to do with anything from the days of the Bush administration. If I am wrong, please provide some proof of same.
"The report, obtained by The Associated Press ahead of its release, is a result of the U.S. Justice Department's three-year investigation of Arpaio's office amid complaints of racial profiling and a culture of bias at the agency's top level."

Breathtaking. Simply breathtaking.
Giving the Obama partisan a chance to retract his false statement before this is posted..
Virginia L. Minor's Petition, Circuit Court of St. Louis County, Missouri, December 1872
Quote: What the heck is happening to this country.
A black Democrat was elected as President and some people went a little weird in the head.
LOL!!!!!...Truer than some like to admit.
Isn't it funnier............ how it's always about President Obama's skin color. Not his push it on us policies, that most don't like.
How about most of us would rather the government not be telling us how to run our lives. Trying to help us with health care, that most people won't be able to afford. Like our youth, when you were 18, could you pay health insurance each month???

Minor via counsel claimed 14th Amendment citizenship. The Court rejected this claim.
Minor based her right to vote on the privileges and immunities clause of the 14th Amendment. The court rejected this because the Court determined she was not a 14th Amendment citizen claimed by counsel.
Chief Justice Waite...The fourteenth amendment did not affect the citizenship of women.
Posting a tidbit..more later. Gotta love Obama partisans when they spin..
