I think people are more upset about the costs of said vacations than the number of days actually spent on them. Going to a ranch in BFE, Texas sure ain't the same as totting friends, family, staff and security detail over to Hawaii every year.

The fact that sometimes the trips entail the family traveling separately doesn't help to much either.
This criticism comes up year after year with every president so I guess it's just part of the job. Also, to be fair, Bush is from Texas. Obama is from Hawaii. If Palin was President, she'd go to Alaska. There isn't much of a difference.

I wish he would take a vacation to where he is actually from. Hawaii doesn't need another tourist.
