About that guy losing his job - perfect example of the fallacy of propagandists claiming this is a chik-fil-a/Cathy free speech issue.
No one is criminally liable for saying things like either of them said, but in the social world there are consequences to it, so if someone speaks up and incites others, he shoul just be prepared for the backlash and not make disingenuous references to the 1st Amendment.
Well I hope he lost his job by the way he treated the helpless employee and not for saying what he thinks about gay marriage. It was a pretty bad, cowardly way to do it. There were many other ways to get his message across.
No one likes someone to bash employees instead of the boss when they get mad at a company. We have all seen people go off on an innocent person when they are to afraid to call out the manager.
Takeing it out on a young girl and not talking to a man who is around his own age and can talk back. That is being an idiot and makes you wonder why you have him working for your company.
I and others have asked over and over again how gay marriage affects hetero marriage in a negative way and in all this time have yet to get a response. You just proved that we nevet will...ya got nuthin'...except your own insecurity and bigotry.
and you shouldn't. But while the group you associate with (part-time depending on what is being said about that group) is working to change the laws...you have to abide by them in the meantime. People can't overlook the law because they don't agree with it and free speech is free...not free, as long as you don't offend the homosexuals. I'm part of a marginalized group too. Stereotypes as ignorant and offensive as they come. Sorry LGBT, get in line, take a number...LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE.
