I don't know whether the boy's teacher did the correcting of his paper but I do understand why his mother was concerned about possible damage to her 6 year old son. Her mention of adults talking the situation over tells me that one of the other two boys had a parent go to the principal. The story sounds like it had a happy ending but unless I can see what the kid wrote after his first try I don't know whether "they" got to him or not.

I was going to make some assanine remark about how what a good job this teacher is doing, Roy, but I can't bring myself to do that. How in the world does this parent know that the teacher did this? Why in the world would the parent assume it was a teacher or adult? That is childish scrawl. You Christmas martyrs need to give this a rest.

Um. Wow. What teacher writes like a SIX YEAR OLD?! Roy come on, man! The writing in pen is very obviously another child's writing!!!!!! And the crossing out is in a completely different writing utensil than the word santa being corrected to Santa. WTF Roy, WTF?

If it really happened, I do think it was uncalled for. People should stop making such a big deal about this stuff on both sides of the religious aisle.

Teachers usually correct assignments in pen.

Not black crayola marker and untidy scrawl.

Just saying.

Wow Roy, this is beyond far fetched. I can't believe an adult writes worse then a six year old, unless the adult is severely mentally challenged. Especially when the cross out is in crayon and writing underneath is in pen. If you look at it, it looks more like it was done during a struggle...and no kid is at aa teachers home while they review papers to struggle with them It's more logical other kids are picking on her child.

It seems the mom is so religiously insane to dislike her "secular" school, and bordering on mentally challenged herself, that she seems to believe the teacher did it. I can't believe anyone with more brain cells than teeth would make up the story, let alone it.

Is this how you show the world how a fine upstanding Christian acts with integrity Roy? Lie and make up stories to pretend you are being persecuted?

Again Roy you have endorsed something that it not only wrong, it's an outright lie. A lie so bad it is an insult to the reader.

Personally, when I was in school teachers always corrected with red. Which it makes the whole thing a little fishy. If the teacher did it then the teacher is wrong, but if another student did it, which seems more likely, there's not much the mom can do about another student's beliefs
