In probably the strongest showing of opposition and attacks on the middle class from the GOP, this time again after the dems tried to call a vote for the tax cuts for the middle class bill, not only did the GOP refuse, they walked out of the chambers and pulled the plugs on the CSPAN cameras! I don't think you can get any more obstruction, holding their middle fingers high to the middle class and crapping on the constitution like the anti-american GOP are,..

"As Rep. Stenny Hoyer (D-MD) attempted to call for a vote to extend a payroll tax cut to middle class and working Americans, his Republican colleagues adjourned the House and walked out of the chamber. And if that weren’t odd enough, it got even stranger: As Hoyer railed against them for failing to help working Americans, footage from C-SPAN went silent, then cut away."

"Moments later, C-SPAN took to the Internet to explain that it wasn’t their doing, but someone working for House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH)."

I hope their war on the middle class and poor goes hot soon. Time for some truth to be forced out of conservatives

yep, the dems tried to get the senate bill passed which called for a 2 month extension of the payroll tax cuts, rather than try to get the senate to consider the house bill, THAT WAS PASSED, which would extend the payroll tax cuts for the full year. nice try but you fail on this one.

Yes, but what ELSE did that 1 year bill have piggybacked onto it, hmmmm? The "media"- ALL of them left and right, and folks like you, fail to mention the ENTIRE contents of each bill.

I say they should pass the 2 month extension and go home to enjoy the Holidays along with the large lumps of coal they will find in their stockings- some from constituents and some from the "clean" coal lobbyists. They can hash out the rest of the pork in 2012.

You mean the pipeline which would have lowered the price of fuel and created tens of thousands of jobs?

Yeah, that sounds just horrible, doesnt it?

Err, it would provide 2/3 of 5,000 jobs, maybe. 1/3 of the pipeline is in Canada which will be built by Canadians.Yep, horrible...

No. The one that would shortcircuit the environmental review of the project. By your standard we could save a lot of lead shielding in the nuclear industry.

Nice try, the senate bill passed with bipartisan support. Boehner shot it down refusing to bring a vote. Now the dems try to do the right thing for the middle class to get the bill passed, and the GOP walks out and pulls the plug on it's coverage. Proof beyond any doubt the GOP does not give a damn in the slightest about the middle class, only to do the bidding for the rich and their corporate masters.

As the Wall Street Journal pointed out today, the House Republicans have accomplished the impossible. They have crowned Obama and the Democrats as the election year tax cutters in contrast to their own inexpicable decision to raise taxes on working Americans.

Astounding.
