And while im at, critisizing Jews is often not done to for obvious reasons. Anti-semite, Jew hater etc is the risk. Politicians tread on ice when it comes to being critical of Israel for that very reason.
It's sad when people just can respect others for being different. I have read some of your comments, and think it's incorrect of you to even try to compare us to other nations. The US is a unique country, unlike any other in the world. Don't forget we are a secular nation also. If you feel like criticising another religion for their beliefs, don't cry when someone has a problem with you saying Merry Christmas to them. Live and let live.

However, truth be told the vast majority of people in this country do respect others and their beliefs and differences, and live in peace. Especially on our major cities. It's only some on the fringe of our society that get all crazy about it. A lot of those folks tend to watch Fox News and Limbaugh.

Course you leave out the fact that it was Christians who built this country from nothing, and that other religious groups were allowed to move here [after this country was already a booming success]. Christians owe other religions nothing in this country, in fact they should be thankful that freedom of religion is allowed here at all, considering that religion wise - Christians built America. And in non-Christian countries such as Saudi Arabia you would be stoned to death for mentioning a religion that is not Islam.

But as is expected these days, history will be whitewashed. Im sure it wont be long until the Pilgrims are rewritten in history books as really being a super diverse group of people which included devout Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Liberals, Gays, and in the farrrr back of the boat -Christians.

Wow, just wow... we owe you nothing, and the self-righteousness in your post is astounding. Seriously, I don't even know how to respond to such an ignorant comment.

P.S. The Jews were everywhere before the Christians, so I guess you should be thanking ME for letting you inhabit my planet.

(see how ridiculous that sounds?)

Not all that ridiculous being that without Jews Christianity never would have existed. Saying you love Jesus but hate Jews is pretty much like saying you love French fries but hate potatoes.lol

Haha... good analogy! You are correct, but I still don't have the self-entitled mentality some Christians have shown here.

There you go again. You don't believe in the Constitution of the United States do you? You do believe in following the laws of this nation do you? We are a SECULAR nation. We have the RIGHT to freedom of religion. Just because the founding fathers were Christians, doesn't mean everyone else owes the current Christians anything. What do you want, everyone to convert? NEWSFLASH: The year 2012 is quickly approaching. Get with the program.

You speak of these founding Christians as saintly. They built this great nation. Yes. These Godly people owned slaves. Slaves who built this great nation for free. Yes, these Christians you speak of, participated in one of the most horrendous human acts in modern history. Hell, not to long ago, the decendants of these Christians were mad because blacks wanted to integrate and go to the same schools as them.

Don't like what goes on in Saudi Arabia? Make sure you never visit.

No one is going to re-write history, something the right always seems to want.

It's getting to be that people who like to celebrate Christmas are going to have to have a secret closet where they put up their tree and lights and have to steal peeks at it every now and then but keep it a secret from the PC police.

So I exaggerate a bit TODAY..but what about tomorrow ? I would have never thought that people would get outraged to the point of suing when the nativity scene was put up on the local government front lawn. Not like this is new as it was done for decades but now too many people cannot TOLERATE the sight of it so it has to be removed. I use this as an example as their are plenty of other non-religious, non Christmas "intolerant" displays around.

Tolerant society my *ss. We USED to be a tolerant society but not any more.
Boy you have really hit the nail on the head. Everything you say, is really true. Americans have become an intolerant people, of holidays, other people and how they celebrate their holidays etc.
We are getting ignorant. I have no problem with any decent person celebrating their own holidays, and i will continue to celebrate Christmas, and i will say Merry Christmas, as i have always done since i was little. And no one will sway me otherwise. My choice, and you are free to have your choice.
The fact that a law suite exists because of a nativity scene put on a front lawn, we are in trouble.
