The left favors Globalism? Are you sure? If you can make this statement after reading the o.p. you are part of the problem. So is anyone else arguing a partisan POV.

I really hate to say this, but I honestly believe we have already lost this country. Both sides have been playing us all as fools for decades and the time is near at hand when we will have to pay the dues. I am glad I am an old man at this juncture in our nations history and I grieve for our youth. I honestly believe that those in here on both sides truly do care and try to do what their conscious tells them to do.. If we all didn't believe in our country, why would any of us be here? I fear we are much akin to an alcoholic as a nation. We will have to hit bottom before we can once again rise to the top. It will not be a pretty process and none of those in power will willingly surrender it. I hope each and every one of us survives the days ahead.

He happens to be entirely correct, as far as the bolded passage goes. What cancer is, or isn't can be debated till the cows come home but the treatment of cancer is a cash cow for big pharma. Cancer drugs are some of the most expensive drugs in existence and their efficacy is in most cases impossible to prove. Had cancer been a major killer of humanity 50 years ago it would have been cured, or not. No one would be able to charge the equivalent of a 15 year mortgage for a palliative that at best added weeks of life and at worst did nothing at all. Humanity suffers from numerous maladies that are not being addressed by big pharma because they can't figure out how to drag out the treatment protocol and create a drug regimen for a simple condition. Even so, they block the introduction of alternative medicine in treatment plans because it will hurt their profits.
