For months, Ron Paul's rabid supporters have been pleading for Paul to get coverage. He is now and it's not good. For me, Paul possibly being a racist is probably the least of my concerns. Paul being against the Civil Rights Act and wanting to close the FAA among other completely impractical ideas are much more of a concern.
He'll be done soon enough. The longer he stays in, the better for Obama, for sure.
I said it before and I'll say it again. Republicans, you should have thrown your support behind Romney immediately.
But I don't want Romney or Paul to be a choice on election day. Does that mean the party will die or that the media has done a really good job of pushing Romney and smashing all others to make Obama easier to re-elect?
Bachman - done. Perry - Done. Cain - Done. Gringrich, his bubble has just popped. Paul - done. Romney....steady the course. Romney will be the GOP nominee it seems at this point. The rest of these folks are just too far to the right (pandering to the Tea Party hostage takers) for the country as a whole. They scare away too many Independents and conservative Democrats. Poor Huntsman, the only other sane person, never got the love. But who knows, maybe they are saving the best for last? You never know.
First of all, anyone who has done any looking in to these ridiculous newsletters would know that Paul has answered this question a thousand times over the years and that he didn't write them.
Second, if Romney gets the nomination, well, great job, GOP. Enjoy another four years of hell. Don't come crying to me when it all goes down the toilet.

They have his name on them. "Personal responsibility", you know.

For me, someone being allowed a voter card when they talk like an expert on an issue (or non-issue, as this is) and in reality have no idea what they're talking about is a major issue.
Sadly, this new attention on Paul and the newsletters he had nothing to do with has made me realize there are far too many people who probably shouldn't have voter cards. No matter how much some might want to wish and hope and pray that Paul loses momentum and that he'll fade because it would mean another 4 years of Ofailure, it doesn't make it so. Current numbers indicate a groundswell of support for Paul, especially amongst minorities.
Was his name on the letters?
You sign it with your name, and people don't give a crap if he physically wrote it. He endorsed it..and what the hell is he doing endorsing that garbage?

Doesn't matter that he didn't write them, they were in his newsletter, that is all that counts.
