Because it doesn't help the economy. I though you on the right were about JOBS

As a Republican, tell me why you think they should tell others what to do on some things and leave them alone on others?

The Republicans are walking contradictions because they want to legislate and spend on what THEY want to spend it on and want the Govt to stay hands off on what they want to take advantage of.

Well lets see, Republicans try to legislate lots of things based one what THEY want ... like gay marriage, what a woman can or can't do with their bodies, marijuana etc. So where am I wrong? Todays republican is a walking contradiction

As to the part of "not helping the economy" I am referring to job creation... you know, what Reublicans SAY they are about. This here is about making one person richer and taking away from a actual entity ( a casino which EMPLOYS people) in other words creating a rich get richer and poor getting poorer scenerio.

Are you going to keep on arguing?

I doubt it. Teabaggers will oppose President Obama on this one as well, just like they opposed him for cutting taxes for the middle class.

If Obama said breathing is good, teabaggers would hold their breath and die of suffocation.

This is what the government has been wanting to do for a long time. Get their mitts in there and tax it. Now the government is hailed by the freedom fighters and gambling folks but in reality they are just getting their rake in the game. I'm not gonna beech because I enjoy online poker but now I gotta pay uncle sam a cut. I guess I'lll just have to collect more lost ticket bets at the horse races to even out my poker winnings.

Kentucky senator Mitch McConnell was the guy behind the anti-online push. He didn't want money to be diverted away from his home state's Churchill Downs.
