Well, only a 6 year old would STILL think that the Iraq and Afghan wars are justifiable at this point.

And yea, you know which way i'll go. I'll keep ranting and squealing.

Nope.

I want defense cut FIRST before we cut anything that gives a direct benefit to an American. That means BEFORE we go after any entitlements. We've spend hundreds of billions on rebuilding the societies of other nations. It's time for Americans to benefit from their own tax dollars for a change.

The military isn't supposed to be essential to the economy....it's supposed to be essential to our defense. It's not supposed to be a jobs program.
Not just jobs at home that's only part of it.

Because we are as powerful and able to project that power as easily as we do is a big part of why we are able to do business internationally on the level we do.

Because we are able to back up our economic interest, and because we are the sole superpower by keeping the world safe for our business, we make it safer for the rest of the world to trade as well.

Also we have and will in the future use our military for economic gain, a lot of people can't stomach that thought but that's life.

Think about this, no rich nation has ever had a weak military. Modern Europe being the sole exception and that is only because they have the U.S. Military as their de facto military.

We are in the middle east right now for economic gain. Once the dollar was pegged to oil we have to make sure it's traded in US dollars. The war squealers will never understand that or what would happen if everybody just started trading in oil in euros or whatever other currency they decided.

We can be just as powerful economically and spend less than half of what we spend now. Please...gimme a break. Our defense spending is shameful. It's laughable as a matter of fact. Furthermore, we're the only idiot nation in the world that subsidizes the defense of wealthy nations while they spend their dollars on programs that benefit their citizenry.

Meanwhile, the same idiots that think subsidizing a wealthy nation like South Korea makes sense (while they spend on domestic programs), get angry at the sight of an American with a food stamp.

Sorry, i don't buy it. Americans haven't received the peace dividend that they were promised after the end of the Cold War. Our government time and time again finds ways to push military spending levels to ridiculous heights. Enough already.

Nobody said you had to agree with it. That is what we do though. Why do you think we went and took out momar? Because he was being mean to the citizens over there? LOL. He was planning on trading his oil in african dinar. What do you think would happen if countries don't have to hold the dollar in reserve to buy oil? All would be fine and dandy? Maybe you should quit your job if you think the military is so evil.

Bloated = Evil?

When did those two words become synonyms?
