I am for Israel's right to exist and to do what is needed to insure that. I am also for the US providing whatever assistance may prove necessary.
I am not, but even if I were, I don't see ensuring Israel's right to exist as being one of the government's constitutional duties. Can you elaborate on why you think otherwise?
As much as the Russians and the Chinese government support and prop up Iran, they have no interest in going to war with the US. The Chinese have repeatedely stated this is not in their interest, ever.
I'd like to agree with you, but he appears to be part of a plan to justify an attack on Iran. Iran has lots of oil.
I say it's more big words with nothing behind them. There'll be no war with Iran.

Have you wondered why we went after oil rich Ghadafi so fast and hard, but have not acted at all on Syria which is slaughtering protesters with tanks and artillery barrages, killing thousands?
No, I haven't wondered about that at all.
We joined an in-progress effort against Qadaffi at the request of our NATO allies who had already begun action.

Syria doesn't have all that much oil.
Syria is a neighbor and practical client state of Turkey, another NATO ally. If the Turks take action and request our assitance, we'll give it, in all likelihood.
Same claims have been floating around for a decade at least....we are going to invade Iran at any moment......any moment.....well soon....it's impending....
I don't believe it, that our nation is ever going to first-strike Iran, especially not with "boots on the ground." (I know, I know... I woulda never believed BO would put even a few special OPs boots on the Libyan soil, but he did)
I think Israel has no choice but to airstrike Iran and take them on, on the ground if and when need be, that would make it needed for sure. We back-up Israel without question, and have her as an excuse if the wimpy BO needs it, for taking any action at all.
I don't think Iran has the power to fundamentally alter Israel's existence. With nuclear capabilities, they could be more bolder in funding terrorist activities, but I think Israel long ago demonstrated that any nation state that wants a war with Israel is going to feel a lot of pain.
I could be wrong, but I think that this is the tipping point. The U.S. and Israel have, for years, turned the other cheek as Iran's fundamentalist regime has tried to augment its position in the region, but quietly, the momentum is building for war.
only if jackasses push for it.
not worth one american soldier-not one.
i don't see any reason for it at this time, and think it is just talk on both sides-as this would be about the last thing the world needs in a worldwide recession.
