Its not the feeding. Its the in-your-face self-righteous ego-inflating demonstration that's totally boorish.
When people take offense at feeding a baby in public they cannot complain about others being boorish. Nursing is hard. Getting a baby to latch is not easy let alone keeping up supply and positioning for months. Are women thanked for doing the best for their babies and saving the public money on health care costs?
No.
Instead we get santimonious whiners complaining that they saw a woman's breast.
Twelve year olds telling fart jokes have more dignity.

The others; not so much.
Do you really see lots of women who nurse without discretion? Because in all my years on this earth and as someone who's nursed nearly three years I've only run into a handful of women even nursing, let alone nursing in a sort of in your face way.
No, but as you said, "baby doesn't care". We as adults don't eat there because of our own adult sensibilities, which we establish as we go along. There's really nothing wrong with it, except it isn't "dignified" to do.
Babies would do a lot of things which aren't 'dignified' if left to their own sensibilities that would **** off a lot of non-parents. **** themselves. Cry in public. Throw up in public. Are you advocating that babies should be left to their own sensibilities in these areas and eating on the toilet?

Do you have a problem with understanding? I made a distinction......and it was clear.....between the act and a organized demonstration of said act. Do you understand this?

See the above. Then, see the OP. Notice. Learn. Comprehend.

Gee, guess quite a few posters forget to , uh, read the OP! Try the TITLE, it's shorter and easier

Just curious what your guys thoughts are on this Target store sitin/protest about women breastfeeding in public?
I don't have all the background I guess some people are upset at how one mother in Houston was treated at a Target store so it spurred this nationwide thing.
Except for the OP's personal opinion (that I did edit out to cut down on space), where exactly does this post say anything about self righteous, in your face breast feeders?

M'kay?
Why don't YOU try it? Ultimately it's all the same thing: women feeding babies in public. And a group of silly little people taking offense at that action. I swear it's like listening to a group of ten year old girls acting all whiny that boys exist.

Its the organized demonstration part. It reminds me of finger-wagging Bible thumpers.

More like a whiny kid screaming in the mall because she's not getting the attention she thinks she deserves.
