A paper towel rule would be a whole lot better than that stupid ADA compliant bathroom law that business have to comply with now. If you try to rent or buy a place to operate a business, chances are you will have to completely tear out the bathrooms & replace them with much larger ones. This eats up lots of square footage, requires lots of structural changes & cost like hell.

You can't remain germ free. It's impossible.

No law.

I like the Dyson/Xcelerator hand dryers. Much better than the old school hand dryers where you always ended up using your pants to dry your hands.

You shouldn't bother to wash your hands at all if you're going to use one of those hand dryers. Really. You'll have more germs on your hands than before you washed them.

Perhaps everyone should carry around toilet paper with them as they do in China (where public bathrooms/toilets don't have toilet paper - one must bring their own). Then people can use their toilet paper also to wipe their hands after washing them if they wish.

Visit Mexico, where someone will stand outside the public restrooms and sell you a piece of TP as you walk into a bathroom..

I carry hand sanitizer with me and use it after washing my hands and towel or air drying. I also carry a packet of tissue at all times because most public bathrooms that don't supply paper towel open inwards, or I grab TT to open the door. Absent a handbag my husband always carries several tissues folded up in his pocket.

The hand sanitizer and tissues serve another purpose on something that creeps me even more when it comes to germs and is used by many people every day: the handles on shopping carts. They have more germs that you would find anywhere in a bathroom as bathrooms generally get a "wipe" down at least once day where as shopping cart handles never get a cleaning. I cringe when I see a child in a shopping cart seat.
