Sure, everyone wants to have their real names and photos plastered all over the Internet
Yep, the T word. Big business. There is a reason they are building a giant NSA center on an internet backbone in mormon country.

Oh yes, I have seen a picture of that new building some time ago. Lots of tax money being spent there...

One of my problems with the terrorism argument is that there is no clear definition. It depends on the government whom it considers terrorists. In Iran or Russia for instance they tend to consider almost anyone opposed to the regime terrorists. And as the Patriot Act shows, that mechanism is not much better in the West. In the end that whole surveillance effort will only stifle free speech, while the really bad guys will opt for other ways of communication, if they haven't already. They will destroy people's trust in their governments and authorities without anything being gained to compensate for that...

Oh they can create a definition. This isn't accidental. There are all kinds. Even Paper T's.

The govt is gaining. They already own just about all of it anyway. Only when people get sick, tired and get a clue is it gonna change. They already own the banks, the ISPs etc... Control 80% of global wealth. Best I could tell the EU was just a corporate overlay anyway.
Revealedthe capitalist network that runs the world - physics-math ...

I am reading 1984 and it's uncanny how much this little book is fortelling of our future. A must read for all on this thread.

Until they become conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
doublethink

They have Newspeak disctionary's every year that changes the language. They have Rewrite, where people are employed to rewrite speeches, news, and history, so the masses remain ignorant. Surveillance is literally everywhere, even watching facial expressions. People disappear and are never spoken of again, as if they never existed.
I highly recommend this book that used to be in the majority of english classes.

Well GO aka AB supposedly had some "interesting acquaintances" that inspired his writings. Depends on the use of the word "rebel".

It's all about consciousness, however, rebelling implies pushing against.

Consciously moving in a particular direction is really all that is required based on awareness. Certainly conflicts may result.
