He is the best conservative President we have ever had.
It is funny how people scream about uncontrolled government expansion, when the exact opposite is true. Not to worry, mitt Romney will expand it back to it's size when he is elected.

The federal government is expanding, they are simply subcontracting out services now
Guy two doors up from me has worked for the patent office for 20 years, just this year he became a private contractor and was able to move to Ohio. This doesnt mean the federal government got smaller

In other words they privatized the services How dare they. I guess you just have something against everything.
We arent discussing if its good or bad, we are discussing you saying the government was shrinking.
You were wrong
Where did I object to privatizing? Why do you lie so much?
It shrank by 600 000 employees. They used to be government empoyees with government retirement plans, health insurances etc, and now they work for the private sector. They get paid only when their services are needed, as opposed to permanent salaries. The size of the government shrank, period.

The patent office has something like a 5 year backlog, they are still receiving salaries and federal spending has DOUBLED over the last 10 years
New liberal math, double federal spending and then proclaim you shrank government.. haha
three years and still not under 8% what a failure! after borrowing 1 trillion dollars and spending it to save the economy and all Obama has accomplish is 0.5% point drop in unemployment. in three years, we cant fired this man soon enough!! no spinning necessary. the man is a total failure!!
Then you must have concluded Reagan a failure too:
Let's not forget that Reagan started with a 7.5% unemployment rate and it went up to 10.8% before starting down. Now, with 10 months before the election, Obama's unemployment is around where Reagan's was too.

We've been though this before. The economic downturn caused lower tax revenue. It also caused an increase in unemployment insurance and other safety net programs. While conservatives frame the issue as Obama increasing the size of government, the deficit reflects the government we had responding to a terrible economy.
It's a good thing we have these programs or there would be rioting in the streets.
But the major disconnect is that the conservatives say that the government shouldn't be involved in the economy then blame Obama for not bring down private unemployment.

There are many people who believed Reagan to be a failure at this period in his term

You understand this much, but then you go on and on supporting policies which continue to lower the GDP and prolonging the recession. Thats really odd unless you hate america and like to see people suffer.
Furthermore, thats only part of the problem, dont begin to think government hasnt increased in size, that argument would foolish. This is obamacare for example.
And here is the rest of the industry which came as a result.
You somehow think government SHRANK.. laughable.

Wow, what a low opinion you have of your fellow human beings. I suppose you can point out some examples of this being true. Not even during the great depression that took place, and we were no where close to that.

Actually the disconnect is YOU, who somehow thinks that taking money out of the economy will cause people to spend more. Its YOU by thinking that government growing in size, and then contracting services out, is government shrinking. Its YOU guys who run around demanding more and more governmental services, demanding more governmental interferance, more laws, more regulations, and then a month later, you try to say LESS came as a result. YOU complain about bailouts and then you want more of them. Fannie/Freddie, unemployment, welfare, and more. You liberals are a walking contradiction.
