should people be able to vote on the rights of others while they enjoy them? (health care, how much)

If i wanted to say have a vote on whether or not you get to go to college, or vote on how much money you should be allowed to make... would that be fair?

why do people who are born straight and who thusly gay marriage doesn't impact get a right to completely affect other people's lives when this vote has no RISK for THEM? (other than the made up risk of something changing an 'institution' which is really just a way to make it seem that they do have something to risk in this issue when they really don't)

why do people think if that if THEY feel that i shouldn't be allowed to adopt that they should get a say?

I feel it's kind of demeaning that people even talk about if they think i should be able to do this or that... who are they? why should they even get a say?

i thought rights issues were protected by the constitution?

firstly. NO one has voted on what type of healthcare you get to receive, or what kind of car you're allowed to drive.

Also, ALL of those things have results for the WHOLE POPULATION. they aren't voting on specifically you, so everyone shares the outcome.

if you vote on gay marriage gay PEOPLE don't get to get married in accordance with their sexual orientation.. WHILE YOU STILL DO.


if you vote on gay adoption... straight people STILL get to adopt.
