Why do the rich expect to be bailed out if they make bad decisions? No poor person ever demanded a billion dollar bailout because they made poor fiscal decisions. No poor person pays themselves a million dollars a year while expecting others to pay so their full time employees can feed themselves. No poor person denies someone access to treatment for breast cancer so they can build another house.

I agree that many people are poor because of remarkably bad choices such as early childbearing and substance abuse. But they hardly deserve the contempt the Reps routinely heap on their heads.

Why do the rich blame everyone but themselves?

Investments go bad...Cut the losses and blame the 'investment'...Business venture goes bad..Blame the business venture and file bankruptcy...

Its funny the filthy rich its a 'smart business decision' when they fail and cut their losses. But the poor, its because they are despicable, bottom feeding, moraless human beings..Go Republicans!!!

I actually live in an economically depressed area and just see a bunch of "Obama 2012" signs. I guess more welfare and food stamps is the "hope and change" everyone wants.

The churches in my area tend to be located in middle class neighborhoods.

Well, you're close. It's "exceptional", actually. And anyone can be "exceptional" if they want to be.

I believe this is the strategy Obama will use to claim reelection this year.

It would be a very effective strategy.

My, that's very un-liberal of you. Don't you understand that many people are victims of society?

It is not the working poor. They pay taxes . It is the lazy ones who ask for hand outs that think they are entitled to a free ride from the government and get really angry if they don't get the handouts.

The necessary safety net to the poor is nothing compared to the real welfare scum like the large banks who had their own puppet treasury secretary threaten to implode the economy if they didn't get bailed out with a whopping 17 trillion dollars. Basically these banks used financial terrorism to get bailed out and then paid themselves record bonuses afterwards. The real leach welfare scum are these large corporations and banks extracting all the wealth to them and not the poor.
