People love to post here as macho, cold-hearted ideologues, but truth is, if it was your brother and those kids were your nephews and nieces, you would probably be a bit more kind hearted about it. No one should be destroyed by health concerns in a country as wealthy as ours. It is a disgrace, and quite unChristian. I can never figure out how being selfish and cold is admirable to social conservatives, who claim to be Christian and morally superior to libs.
I guess the hymn needs an edit:

Sorry there lady, but Im a realist. I do not beleive in pampering those who chose to do nothing with their lives. When a middle age man works for teenager wages he is his own failure . The results of those poor decisions are his problems , not mine.
If I ever ran into a waiter that consider 'his" table to be a franchise that I had to pay him for, he and I would have a detailed discussion in the back by the trash bins. He might, if I was feeling kind, survive the discussion. Gangsters like that have to be stopped fast.

Wages have remained stagnant in this country for all but the very top percentile. Pointing this out is not class warfare. It is simply an assertion of truth.
The top percentile has seen a much larger percentage drop in their income than has any other group. Their wages have fallen the most.
