We still eat at a Friendly's when we are travelling. Decent food at decent prices. Around home we eat at local resturants that are single establishments that have been around for decades. Keep it as local as you can.

Friendly's "lost their way" back in the 90's when they came out with full dinners at "restaurant" prices. They should have stuck to burgers, dogs, and other quick foods while focussing on their ice cream.

We used to like eating there and having a fun dessert, but when you start paying restaurant prices for the Friendly's style ambience, that simply does not cut it in our book.

I haven't been to a Friendlys since I was a teenager. I remember they had some decent milkshakes but that was about it.

Exactly. Im a smoker. Ya want my buss , build a deck and let me smoke on it. Otherwise I will go to your competitor who does.
