I know that government will pay for R&D for medical cures, vaccinations, and that sort of thing but for you to claim this extends to pizza is nothing more than you taking an opportunity to mix in hyperbole.

Do you work for Fox News?
No, not Dominoes. It was a general statement. The USG did fund the R&D on shrimp on treadmills ($700 million) and a laundry robot that takes 25 minutes to fold a towel.

Why do we have the USG funding stuff like this ? Companies should fund their own advertising and their own R&D.

Well then, show us some documentation that government funded R&D for your above examples. I am betting that was generated also by hyperbole for propagandist purposes.

You must have missed it but there was a thread on that.
Just google shrimp on treadmills.

Why assume it's a lie ?

Both the tea party and OWS have railed against corporate welfare. IMO only the conservative tea partiers have a solution to the problem. By limiting the scope and size of gov't we can limit the ability of gov't to dole out largess. Generally OWS does not wish to make government smaller. As long as government is as big and powerful as it is now, people will find ways to channel it to their benefit.

A high-pitched feeble sound made by a young bird or mammal.

Well I provided the proof and it was no "propaganda piece" but told by a Senator from OK.

Guess we won't see you back in this thread.

Right. Elected officials just can't say "no", can they?

They make the laws, what have they been doing on our behalf on our dime?

We can't fire employees of corporations but we can certainly fire elected officaials who screw us.

Problem is, many of the voting public seem to be quite content with who's in office if you look at re-election stats.

The Government pays for advertising and R&D as well for these companies.

Is that really the job of the government ? I know they should create a favorable environment for business but to pay the tab as well ? USG finances are in no condition to be subsidizing these things.
lol..they do R&D for Dominoes . a failed endeavor, I'd say.

This whole concept is insane. mediocre restaurants should fail. Why is USG doing these bailouts while we have trillions in debt?

I am so in agreement that this is unethical and should be illegal....

And there's no programs that Congress can find to cut eh ?

Shrimp on treadmills and paying for Dominoe commercials.
Yup..just up our taxes cause revenues are falling a bit short.
Big Government doesn't cause these problems; Big Money does.

GET THE MONEY OUT OF GOVERNMENT!!
