The terrible economy Obama inherited and the simple fact that more Americans reach the age of 65 every day is what has pushed the nation's debt up. I'm still waiting for Republicans to put up credible plans that revive the economy and slow the growth of health care spending, until that happens I can't take Republicans concerns about debt seriously.
THERE IS NO PLAN TO REVIVE THE ECONOMY. We are not a planned economy! What don't you liberals understand about that? It's not the government's job to plan the economy.

So basically you admit obama has been an utter failure on both?
Oh, you probably didn't notice or have ignored the FACT the GOP house has passed plenty of bills, including a budget, Cap, Cut and Balance that would do just that.
It is languishing in the Senate, where the dems refuse to take it up and even if they did, obama would veto it.
You KNOW that anything the GOP House comes up with, won't get past obama.

All of the additional trillions in debt requires additional billions in interest payments. To make the additional interest payments, more money must be borrowed to make the payments.

Yes our government prints money, about 1/5 as much as the commercial banks.
